Making something that says thank you
When someone has been in the hospital for a while, friends and family send cards, flowers and small get-well gifts. Not only do they send things, but they often come into visit. Some will sit all day just to keep a patient company while others just stop by to show their support. Though it may seem like a small gesture, these visitors and small presents can mean the world to a sick person. When things are not going well and the body feels like it is falling apart, it truly does help to know people care.
A couple weeks have passed and the patient is now at home recovering, slowly but surely. It takes someone’s body some time to adjust to regular life again. Once the IVs and nurses are gone, eating, drinking, walking and sleeping because new struggles at home. Going to the store to purchase Thank You cards and writing each person an individual message is probably not the highest priority, but there is a fairly simple way to show appreciate while wearing pajamas.
Inkjet printers are commonly found in homes and used for personal use. Because of their capability to print on various types and sizes of paper, they open a creative portal for users. An inkjet printer will give a recovering patient the opportunity to make Thank You cards that are personal and heartfelt while being simple and convenient. Finding a template online should be easy enough, and the appropriate paper should not be hard to come by.
Perhaps leaving a few blank spaces on the card to hand-write the specific gift and visitors name will make it more individual. The front can just have the words Thank You or it can have a picture or quote. Inside perhaps a small clipart or design with a simple message explaining how much it meant to see how many people cared enough to show some love. Finish it off with a signature, and they are ready to go.
